Member Relations Division
3RD Fridays! Networking Luncheon - Chairperson: Anna Kruse, workpaths.com
A committee to coordinate the Third Friday Luncheons, using Chamber member facilities to provide a Networking Lunch for our Members and soon-to-be members. This opportunity will also provide an opportunity for members to showcase their companies and services to attendees. Periodic Speakers geared at offering business oriented tips will be selected by the committee.
Professional Development Seminars - Chairperson: TBD
A committee created to coordinate the Professional Development Seminars, coordinating with Third Friday Chamber member facilities and Business Expo Facilities to provide Professional Training and Webinars for our Members and soon-to-be members. This opportunity will also provide an opportunity for Training members to showcase their companies and services to attendees if available. Outside Training resource will also be considered.
B.O.S.S. Series - Chairperson: TBD
A committee to coordinate the Chamber Sponsorship of the B.O.S.S. Series. This committee will promote the series, arrange for pricing and publicity to Chamber members, and for financial commitment as a sponsor.
Community Relations Division
The committee monitors government activity and other public policy issues affecting the south Kent business community on behalf of Chamber membership and communicates relevant developments to the membership. The committee serves as a relationship type of liaison between the business members of the Chamber and government officials on the local, state and federal levels. The committee represents small business and the voice of small business.
Wyoming Kentwood Santa Parade - Chairperson: Chris Fuller, Comfort Suites
Hold a festive event that highlights the WKACC businesses during the Christmas Season.
Membership Development Divsion
A committee of active members that reach out to new and existing members to keep them informed of current events and introduce them to the programs, benefits, committees, and the organizational structure of the Chamber.
Business Breakfasts - Chairperson: Karen Brittner, Comerica Bank
A committee that will organize, plan, and promote the Chamber's Business Breakfasts. The Business Breakfasts will provide networking opportunities and education for our members on how they can utilize the benefits and offerings of the Chamber for their business.
Financial Development Division
Plan and Implement a Community-Wide Festival that both drives traffic to local businesses and establishes the Wyoming/Kentwood Chamber as a leader in the business community.
Annual Meeting & Silent Auction - Chairperson: TBD
Acknowledge 5 chamber members for their hard work and review the past year and introduce the board for 2011. This is required by the bylaws to be held annually on the 4th Friday of January.
Business Connections Expo - Chairperson: TBD
Conduct a B2B exposition event that features showcasers from our Chamber to a target audience of local businesses. This is a day of networking and connecting business owners to prospects.
